Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is a famous American performer, actress, and former model. The actress was the co-star in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain, and the vocalist for the girl group Apollonia 6 She was one of several female artists that benefited from Prince's collaboration during the 1980s. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress who was born in Santa Monica, California in 1959. Her early career included working as a television model. In 1984, she was cast as the leading woman in the movie Prince's Purple Rain. (During this period, she also changed her surname) Then she was replaced by Vanity of the female group Vanity 6 who starred in the film with Apollonia 6 under their name. The trio scored a modest hit with Sex Shooter but it was in the role of Prince's duet partner in Take Me with You from the soundtrack that she achieved more of an impact on charts. Kotero broke off from Prince following an argument throughout their careers. Apollonia 6 broke up due to their disagreement. She went on to appear in various minor roles throughout this time (reportedly not wanting to be in the Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) and then landed in the role of a nighttime drama Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia had the opportunity to release her debut album in the year 1988. Unfortunately, it didn't leave a lasting impression with music fans and she soon faded off the scene. In the years that followed, she remained an active actress, playing minor roles in films and small TV shows. Apollonia recorded a Spanish/English Album called Stay with Me in 1997. Then, she went back to school and earned the degree of filmmaker. In addition, she founded her own production company. Apollonia is an incredibly talented woman. She is a former model, singer-actress as well as a talent management manager. She is best known as an actress in the role in the film Purple Rain from 1984.
